CRITICAL THINKING

a. Do you believe that walking helps us understand ourselves? Give reasons in support of your opinion.

Answer:

Yes, I believe that walking helps us understand ourselves. By walking, we understand an 'inverted pendulum' gait in which the body vaults over the stiff limb or limbs with each step. Walking is a physical activity that is very important for our health. When we walk, we become aware of our breath, steps, body, and surroundings. It also helps us to see what happens in our inner thoughts and feelings that react to the sights, sounds, and sensations of our outer world. It reduces stress and makes us self-aware. This involves paying attention to the different parts of our bodies, how we feel, and the world around us. While walking, we interact with our inner selves and evaluate ourselves, our actions, and our behavior. It makes us realise who I am. Understanding ourselves means self-realisation, which can happen when we are alone and immersed in the natural world.

b. Think of one of your hobbies. How does this hobby relate to your psyche and self?

Answer:

A hobby is an activity that one enjoys doing in one's spare time. It is a favourite activity that a person does for pleasure. A hobby is something we do in our leisure time. It is one of the best ways to pass the time. A hobby is not our main occupation. The profession of a man may be the hobby of another man. The choice of a man's hobby depends on his tastes, nature, profession, and abilities. A hobby provides entertainment when we feel bored.

Different people have different hobbies. Hobbies teach us to be busy, not idle. I do have a variety of hobbies. Among my various hobbies, reading is one of my favourites, which I always prefer to do in my spare time. People in the world prefer to engage themselves in a variety of hobbies in their leisure time. Most people in the world try to achieve knowledge of various things and enjoy various types of games and entertainment. But for me, reading is the best way to grasp different kinds of knowledge. Due to this hobby, I have gained many ideas regarding different things. This hobby relates to my psyche and self, as it has brought about changes in my life. I keep on utilising my spare time by holding books most of the time. This hobby has kept me quite away from people's contact. I always try to find a peaceful environment to read books in. I try to keep my distance from people. Nowadays, books have become my only friends. Most of my friends complain about my acts. They even try to stop me from reading. I'm too engrossed while reading books. I love reading books, no matter what others think about me. This hobby has changed me completely.

c. Many people turn their hobbies into careers. Is it good to turn one's hobby into a career?

Answer:

Hobbies are usually undertaken on a part-time basis, or in some cases, they can become a one-person part-time occupation.

Yes, it is good to turn one's hobby into a career. Anyone can turn their hobbies into careers by monetizing their skills and the time spent on them. The advantage of this is not that they enjoy their entertainment more, but that it also earns them money. It could mean that they can pursue a career that they are also passionate about.

Turning hobbies into a career is the best way to make progress in life. But choosing hobbies as a career isn't a good choice for everyone. Most people fail at this while following their hobbies. For those who want to have successful careers based on their hobbies, it is very important for all of them to be excellent at their hobbies. It is difficult for them too. Most people who follow their hobbies and turn their hobbies into a career fail in their sectors due to their lack of experience in business. There must be the perfect blend of hobbies and experience with hard dedication. Those who can perform well along with their hobbies and experiences will have a bright future ahead.

Answer:

Essay on the Advantages of Morning Walk

A morning walk helps a person stay healthy and active. It is a light exercise that does not require any expertise. It is good for both young and old people. It refreshes our minds and keeps us fit. We should go for a morning walk regularly.

A morning walk is good for our health. It is one of the mildest exercises for all age groups, and it refreshes one's mind as well as the body.

A morning walk is a very good exercise. A vigorous walk of about one and a half kilometres increases the flow of blood in the body. It activates the supine muscles of the legs. As a result, various diseases that afflict the motor system of the body do not attack the body. Doctors recommend morning walks for heart and muscle patients. A regular morning walk improves appetite and helps in the formation of new blood capillaries. It also sharpens the five sensory faculties of the human body. A morning walk is the best tonic for the elderly and sick. It is a permanent cure for many diseases. Brisk walking is a useful and healthy exercise.

A morning walk provides positive thinking for the person. It provides new insights into various problems at home and in the office. This is the only way to contemplate oneself.

In short, a morning walk is a necessity in the fast-paced life of this century.

Trishna: Ah yes, I will take my father’s i-Phone. Well, Bhim, I don’t have an extension cord. Can I remind you to take one? Just in case we don’t get enough charging points at the hotel.
